At Helping hands Care Service we are proud to be a part of the VA Community Care Network, offering our specialized services to veterans in South Carolina. Our commitment is to provide quality care to seniors, including veterans, in their own homes, ensuring they live with dignity and comfort. The VA Community Care Network is an initiative by the Department of Veterans Affairs to provide veterans with quality health care services outside of VA facilities. This network allows veterans to receive care from local community providers when VA facilities are not readily accessible or cannot provide the required care. It covers a range of services, including long-term care, which is crucial for many veterans.

Activities Of Daily Living- ADL's

We provide a variety of non-medical services designed to assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, and basic household tasks. We are a valuable resource for individuals who want to remain in their homes while receiving support to maintain their independence and well-being. Services offered by Helping Hands Care Service include but are not limited to:

 

  • Companionship: Companionship and social interaction are vital components of non-medical home care. Caregivers spend time with clients, engaging in conversation, playing games, and providing emotional support.

 

 

 

  • Personal Care: Assistance with personal hygiene and grooming, including bathing, dressing, oral care, and hair care.

 

 

 

  • Toileting and Incontinence Care: Help with using the toilet, changing incontinence products, and maintaining personal hygiene.

 

 

 

  • Mobility Assistance: Support with moving around the home, transferring from a bed or chair, and walking assistance.
